Tuition
Students are charged tuition on a per-unit basis, and the current rate of tuition for the 2023-2024 academic year is $2,201 per unit for MAT online and MAT-TESOL online, and $2,244 per unit for OCL Online and SC Online. Total tuition costs will vary depending on a student’s program track.
Tuition and fees typically increase by 3 percent to 5 percent each year. Tuition rates are set by the USC Board of Trustees and typically increase in the fall term. The most current rates can be found here.

Additional Fees
- A $250 nonrefundable deposit to confirm your enrollment. The deposit will be credited to tuition owed.
- Up to $3,000 for books, supplies, Internet connectivity and other expenses.
- MAT / MAT-TESOL online: Credentialing exam fees, which cost about $300. (Pursuing a credential is optional for MAT–TESOL students. To learn more about credentialing requirements, please visit our MAT-TESOL Admission page.)
- OCL online: Two $550 required on-campus immersions (travel and hotel fees not included).
